The Director of the Defence Industries Agency, Ms. Fiammetta Salmoni, welcomed the Director of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, Mr. Marco Riccardo Rusconi, during his visit to the Military Chemical-Pharmaceutical Plant in Florence, accompanied by the Plant Director, Colonel Arcangelo Moro.
Founded in 1832, the facility remains a strategic asset of the Agency, renowned for its excellence in pharmaceutical production, particularly in the field of orphan drugs.
As previously announced, thanks to the commitment of Deputy Minister Edmondo Cirielli of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and with the support of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, the Pediatric Hospital of Odessa will be equipped and supplied as part of a broader initiative to support the Ukrainian healthcare system.
The synergies and professional excellence working in unison to strengthen maternity and neonatal care units reflect Italy’s capability to respond effectively in the humanitarian domain.
At the Defence Industries Agency, we believe that health is a fundamental pillar of democracy, and that cooperation with partner countries reaffirms our commitment to this principle.
A special note of thanks is extended to the Minister of Defence, Mr. Guido Crosetto, for his continued encouragement and support towards ever more effective international collaboration.
