Built in the naval shipyard of Serenella di Murano, the V.A.I. 500 (Vedette Acque Interne) are naval units used by the Italian Guardia di Finanza, made in mahogany wood and marine ply. They are characterized by one Volvo Penta petrol engine mod. 5.0 GL DP-S, one mod. 1830 navigation apparatus and VHF/FM telecommunications equipment.
