July 31, 2014 – On the proposal of the Minister of Italian Defense, Roberta Pinotti, eng. Gian Carlo Anselmino has been appointed Director General (CEO) of the Agenzia Industrie Difesa.
Gian Carlo Anselmino was born in Vercelli July 19, 1958, graduated in mechanical engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin, on 31 July 2014 was appointed by the Italian Government to assume the position of Director General (CEO)of Agenzia Industrie Difesa.
From Finmeccanica – Italian industrial group in the high technology sector among the leading players in the defense, aerospace and security domain – in 1984 Eng. Anselmino began the occupational activities at Alenia Aeronautica shortly he was awarded the tasks and functions responsibility including those concerning the management of design activities of major military programs.
In 2008 he was appointed Director in charge of the production of Alenia in Turin / Caselle and the Eurofighter program management, F35-JSF, Tornado, Harrier, AMX, and Neuron UAV.
Since 2011 he worked in Rome, at the headquarters of Finmeccanica, when he was appointed Industrial Performance and Competitiveness SVP.
Member of numerous committees and international working groups, Anselmino has gained “in the field” a solid experience with regard to relations with the Italian Armed Forces and other Country, and with international organizations.
He drafted scientific papers including the one on “Eurofighter 2000 – Technology for the 21st Century”, published by “The Institution of Mechanical Engineers – UK”.
